The AP is the last step before becoming a fully fledged Police Constable.
You are on patrol with an officer however you are treated as if you are on a solo patrol.

You will need to have everything on your ODP signed off including your PRE.

Remember this is just your unofficial first patrol as a PC. Treat it as you would on a day to day patrol.
Do not be scared to attend things, you can't pass if you do nothing.

• How long does the AP take?

It will take as long as it needs too. On average it is 1-3 hours, the length of a normal shift.
