Check out the links below! They contain the bare minimum to get started with LLR.
Having a fullbody visual reference for your character is mandatory to participate in LLR. This doesn't have to be necessarily be drawn by you but can instead be drawn by someone else, a commission or adopt, or even a photo of a real animal.
You must have permission to use art/images that you did not create, and credit the source.
Click the picture of the species for more information on them.
Every character's soul is made up of flux. When casting magic, the flux manifests in colors and shapes unique to the individual.
Flux should be 1 distinct hue, with slight variations of the same color allowed for shading and effect.
Flux Colors: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple.
Magical manifestations can take any shape, but flux designs should only have one primary shape theme (ex. pipes, trees, flowers, explosions, frost, foggy glow). This does not have to be a real-world thing, you are welcome to make a unique coloration or pattern. The area of the body flux manifests in is not part of the design, and can freely vary with each power. Admins will help review your designs and let you know what is in range.
While artistic growth and stylizing is allowed, Flux design is semi-permanent. Minor changes to appearance may be allowed over time, but don't go too crazy. This is your character's soul we're talking about here!

The build of a character is the overall skeletal structure of the character. It is separate from muscle tone and weight, which are up to the artist. These builds show greater variation than they did Pre-Fracture, and are likely part of each species' magical adaptations.

The written section of the app can be hosted anywhere where it can be viewed without an account. Google Docs, Deviantart, Personal Website, etc. Preformatted templates are available below.
We also provide an optional template below that you're welcome to use!
Simple Template

History: (Permanent. May be provided by their origin, but is not limited to it. Your background determines the skills awarded upon joining. Please provide a short summary if your history is longer than 500 words. The mod team may provide additional options for your backstory to help your character dig deeper into the world lore. We know things you don't!)
Okay, one last thing. You'll need a way to keep track of all of your stats, skills, powers, and money! You don't need to do anything for this step, the DMs will set up your character's spreadsheet when you are accepted to the group. The base templates can be viewed below if you'd like to go ahead and familiarize yourself with them.
Don't worry about making a copy yourself! There is custom code that needs to be programmed for your character. Only the mod team can get that set up.
WARNING: You will need to provide a gmail address to tie your tracker to, unless you want everyone with the link to have editing permissions. No need to post this publicly, we will ask you for your gmail via DM.
The Character Tracker is an all purpose spreadsheet. Day to day tracking such as earnings, trades, power purchases, and skills your day to day spreadsheet to use. You'll need this one during quests, events, PvP, and other dangerous encounters.
Spreadsheets can be customized to fit your character, just make sure it's easily readable! Here are some basic guidelines:
Fonts should be relatively simple, legible at a glance
Font should be no smaller than 11pt
No more than one image in the entire spreadsheet. Google sheets become laggy and unstable when multiple images are added
Do not relocate any information on the spreadsheet. Cells must remain in the order they started in, or code could break.
Do not change the names of the default sheet tabs, or code will break.
Do not add new skills categories yourself. If you unlock a new/custom skill, a DM should update the spreadsheet for you. Ping us if we forget.
If you want to do something that isn't allowed, we recommend making new tabs or new spreadsheets. Just make sure to keep the original up to date! The admin team will refer to your original spreadsheet before any other.
Examples of things we know are safe:
Changing the font, font color, font size, and cell color
Adding additional tabs
Adding new rows at the bottom of a sheet if you run out of tracking room
Resizing cells
Adding an image to the sheet (just one)
When your character is complete, simply drop a link to their bio in #submissions. If you have a starting item, you can also state that in submissions at this time to claim it.
During the approval process you will receive direct messages about your character. We'll cover anything that needs tweaking, as well as incorporation of your character's backstory into the lore. At this point you may receive backstory tie-ins, bonus lore your character knows from their background, or additional information about the things they experienced. This information is for your benefit, and not required to be added to their bio.
When this process is finished, we will make your tracker spreadsheet, give you stats for your starting item, and give you the Traveling Soul role. If you made it this far, congratulations, you are officially in the group!
