NPCs can't complete prompts the way player characters can, so don't rely on them for it! Their help is for flavor more than anything else.

Summary
Kraft is well known for being the local medic. He swears he has patched together just about everyone at some point. A particularly well educated feline, he can speak both basic Omnivore and Herbivore. He's not fluent just yet, but he knows enough to figure out where you're hurt and let you know how he will help. It's a skill he picked up before the Fracture. He says he was always meeting new faces on their temporary stays in his peoples' household.
Group History
Kraft was at the Hollow Hill when it fell. He treated multiple characters for poison ingestion and other ails before helping Bernese escape.
NPC - Bernese - Coyote - They/Them
NPC - Bernese - Coyote - They/Them
Summary
Bernese is everything you would expect from a Coyote. Big, powerful, quiet, and...sad? Sometime after the Fracture they lost an item very dear to them, and still seems torn up about it. Anyone who takes the time to befriend this bashful Coyote will get regular requests to keep an eye out for it when they go out for food.
They can often be seen engaging in quiet conversation with Krunsch, who has been helping maintain their clothes for the past year. If the Fracture did one good thing, Bernese will say it's granting them dexterity. They are excited to make attire of their own design, and take the time to search ruins they encounter for textiles.
Group History
Bernese was at the Hollow Hill when it fell. The roof caved in above them, burying them and giving them the [PARALYSIS] bane. They were stabilized by Nameless and carried out by Kraft. They remain paralyzed, unable to move the lower half of their body.
NPC - Krunsch - Rat - She/Her
NPC - Krunsch - Rat - She/Her
Summary:
Krunsch is a city rat through and through. She saw enough battles before the Fracture to know that the best way to survive is to stay out of the way. There are more than a few stories of her bailing on her party in the wastes, but hey, a rats gotta look out for herself right? They usually make it back home anyhow, and if they don't, well, all the better Krunsch wasn't there to fall with them. Despite her unrepentant cowardice, she can be a useful ally to have around. She has made a good business of stitching up damaged keepsakes in exchange for free food and artifacts.
Group History:
Krunsch was at the Hollow Hill when it fell. The roof caved in on them, pinning them to the ceiling and giving them the [RED COUGH] bane. They were aided by Judas and stabilized by April before being carried out by Volt. She was able to make a full recovery.
NPC - Brongo - Rabbit - He/Him

Summary:
Brongo is a rabbit of many opinions. He has more opinions about carnivores than anything else, often directly voicing his concerns over their diet. He's begun to hold his tongue around a few of them, having learned over time that they aren't that bad, but he's too paranoid to trust newer fangs in town. If you can get him to talk, you'll discover that behind all that bluster and gruff, he's a scholar deeply invested in researching the local warped.
Group History:
Brongo was at the Hollow Hill when it fell. He used magic to grow to incredible size and tackled the largest warped, pinning it to the ground. After buying some time for others to escape, he called for a retreat from the Hollow Hill.
NPC - Jonsie - Ferret - She/Her
NPC - Jonsie - Ferret - She/Her
Summary:
Jonsie was once a well respected member of the Glory Hunters, having proven herself a skilled hunter alongside the boars. Not only that, but she could pursue all kinds of predators they couldn't, like snakes. She's a major show off, often choosing to bring whole kills back before she butchers them. That way, everyone can clearly see what it is she killed today. Though her attitude can be grating at times, she's an undeniable boon to those around her. She hunts far more often than she needs to for food, and she's more than willing to share the food once she has the hide stripped off of it.
Group History:
Jonsie was at the Hollow Hill when it fell. She was the first to engage the largest warped in battle, leading it away from Bernese and Kraft when it first tore open the ceiling. She took several hard hits while baiting the warped, and succumbed to poison before the end of the battle. She was carried away from the Hollow Hill by Felony.

Summary:
Oak Law spent his entire life pre-fracture as a working library rat who was very close with his handler. As he got older and struggled more often with climbing to certain areas or moving the heavier books, he started to do simpler tasks, train the new service rats, or serve as an example to younger handlers on how to handle and care for the service rats.
Group History:
Oak Law recently arrived at Voltspire Hearth with his apprentice, Kismet.
