Associate VP Communications (1)

The role of the AVP Communications is to assist the VP Communications in managing social media, empowering work of portfolio councillors, and streamlining communication within LFS|US and LFS-affiliated groups.
Duties of this role are as follows:
Assist VP Communications in overseeing and ensuring support for portfolio councillors’ responsibilities
Assist VP Communications in planning portfolio meetings & socials
Support VP Communications in the management of LFS|US Instagram accounts, Facebook, and Discord
Maintain consistent inter-portfolio communication with other VPs, AVPs, and councillors to address their feedback and requests
Act as liaison between the LFS|US and LFS-affiliated groups for spotlights, features, and/or collaborations on LFS|US social channels
Serve as a non-voting Councillor, contribute to portfolio meetings, and attend bi-weekly general council meetings
Assets:
Graphic Design and Social Media experience
Photography/videography skills and editing (e.g., Adobe, Final Cut Pro, etc.)
Knowledge in creating TikTok videos is an asset
Social Media Coordinator (3)

The role of the Social Media Coordinator is to develop marketing strategies to effectively promote all council events and programs.
Duties of this role are as follows:
Brainstorm and manage marketing materials (e.g., social media content, posters, flyers) that engage the LFS student body
Create and implement marketing timelines for all LFS|US events
Update and generate posts on LFS|US Facebook, Instagram, and Discord
Oversee and work closely with Webmaster, Graphic Designers, and other portfolio councillors to ensure that all marketing objectives are carried out and met
Volunteer at events hosted by LFS|US: LFS Week, Career Month, Wednesday Night Dinners, etc.
Attend bi-weekly general council meetings and Communications Portfolio meetings
Requirement:

Graphic Designer (4)

The role of the Graphic Designer is to create digital advertising material for council.
Duties of this role are as follows:
Create visually appealing content (for social media, posters, etc.) that capture students’ attention using Adobe, Canva, and/or InDesign
Present event information and translate marketing strategies into graphic designs in a clear, concise, and engaging way
Interpret design requests within two weeks from councillors
Ensure a balance between personal creative expression and the needs of the audience
Volunteer at events hosted by LFS|US: LFS Week, Career Month, Wednesday Night Dinners, etc.
Attend bi-weekly general council meetings and Communications Portfolio meetings

Webmaster (1)

The role of the Webmaster is to manage and maintain the LFS|US website.
Duties of this role are as follows:
Update LFS|US website regularly via the Wix platform with upcoming events, council meeting minutes, etc
Address inquiries from the online contact form and coordinate with the appropriate executive as needed
Work closely with Graphic Designers, Social Media Coordinators, and other councillors to update or add necessary pages
Volunteer at events hosted by LFS|US: LFS Week, Career Month, Wednesday Night Dinners, etc.
Attend bi-weekly general council meetings and Communications Portfolio meetings

Photographer / Videographer (2)

The role of the Photographer/Videographer is to create photo and video content from LFS|US events.
Duties of this role are as follows:
Communicate with the marketing team (i.e., Communications Portfolio) and event coordinators
Take pictures at LFS|US events that are engaging, appropriate, and well composed
Edit and watermark photos when requested
Create scripts/storyboards and produce promotional videos for events, programs, and facilities
Volunteer at events hosted by LFS|US: LFS Week, Career Month, Wednesday Night Dinners, etc.
Attend bi-weekly general council meetings and Communications Portfolio meetings
Requirements:
Photography/videography skills with DSLR and/or mirrorless cameras.
Knowledge in editing photos and videos (e.g., Adobe, Final Cut Pro, etc.)
Knowledge in creating TikTok videos is an asset
