What To Expect

One of the best ways to empower Dr. Rytter is to do what she asks while being reliable, dependable, and punctual. If you can do this in one of more areas listed below, you will give Dr. Rytter a great gift that she will appreciate more than you can imagine. Volunteering for her will be much more gratifying if you choose to assist with tasks that you are good at and/or feel passionate about. Since Dr. Rytter needs to make her life as stable as possible, we ask all volunteers to make at least a six month commitment.

You can pick a volunteer area from the following list:

  • Proofread some of the things that Dr. Rytter writes. She writes a wide variety of things.

  • Create Excel spreadsheets per Dr. Rytter's request.

  • Do online research.

  • Post things on Facebook when Dr. Rytter asks you to.

  • Create eye-catching flyers with Photoshop, Publisher, or some other graphic program.

  • Help out with art and/or sewing projects.

  • Fundraise. This entails working with three of Dr. Rytter's close friends.

  • Help keep her home clean and organized, as she prefers.

  • Help out with her pet cats.

  • Be with Dr. Rytter until one of her support staff can come into work. If you are interested in this, you will learn how to help Dr. Rytter with meals and a few other things.

  • Run little errands when she can't get out, like when she gets snowed in.

  • Drive Dr. Rytter to places in her insured minivan. As you can imagine, you need a driver's license and good driving record to do this task. Also, someone will train you on her van.

  • Sleep at her home in case she needs anything overnight. If this interests you, you will receive training on how to assist Dr. Rytter if she requires anything during the night, which is rare. The roommate section on this website goes into more detail regarding what she may need.
