Basic Job Requirements
Below are some basic guidelines to be an effective and respectful support staff for Dr. Rytter.
Be on time for all scheduled shifts.
Work all of your scheduled shifts unless you have a legitimate reason, like illness.
Be selective with requesting time off – 2 weeks with a written request.
Good attendance – 90-95% rate.
Learn how to do all of the job duties during your initial training, and then continuing learning on the job from Dr. Rytter.
View and treat Dr. Rytter as your employer. She can communicate with you if you are willing to listen to her.
Be respectful, responsive, and kind to other staff, roommates, friends, and Dr. Rytter.
Lift, don't cradle Dr. Rytter – She can walk with human support.
Give as much advanced notice as possible when you are sick.
Don’t anticipate Dr. Rytter's needs, but do attend to them in a timely manner when she requests assistance.
Don't use any of your devices at work unless in a true emergency. No exceptions for students.
Do Dr. Rytter's personal care as requested, such driving her minivan, housework chores on your own, cat care, object manipulation, and others to be assigned.
