Founded by the legendary Nwabudike Morgan, the Morganite Corporate Council is an economically-focused alliance of powerful companies. Each major corporation is descended from the colony's original sponsors and their designated agents on the colony ship. The modern MCC has corporation-owned settlements in the region where their landing pods touched down, and extensive influence in every other major league. They have no actual military, per se, only an "enforcement branch" that happens to operate top-of-the-line mechs and call in expensive mercenaries. Each of the major corporations has a similar, if smaller, force that serves their security needs.

Regions and Settlements:

• Lucrezia - heart of the Morganite philosophy, seat of the Corporate Council, a glittering consumerist playground with a restless underclass
• Bad'l City - manufacturing zone, high-end engineering and design firms, blue-collar workers and technicians rub shoulders with white-collar engineers and execs
• The Freshwater Sea - heavily cultivated inland sea, divided into many aquaculture zones, also features a nature preserve/beach resort section
• Morgan's Rest - a resort town in the mountains, rumored by conspiracy theorists to have Morgan himself in cryo-stasis in a hidden bunker
• Fortuna - an extraterritorial polar settlement near Resdayn, owned by an MCC resource extraction firm, and populated by indebted workers

Military Forces:

• Project Ozma - the "secret police" of the Corporate Council, called in to secure potentially-destabilizing property, whether physical or intellectual; report directly to the Council
• Belltower Group - private military company that provides security for a number of MCC corporations, in Morganite territory and beyond; known worldwide for their distinctive armor that resembles knights from Old Earth

Notable Figures:

• Nwabudike Morgan - the "founding father" of the Corporate Council and its guiding philosophies, he was a plutocrat from Earth; presumed to have died several centuries ago
• Nef Anyo - CEO of AnyoCorp, a prominent member of the Council with a broad portfolio; currently overseeing his company's interests in Fortuna, which is recently the subject of Council scrutiny
