Le Ferrovie del Sud-Est hanno la più grande rete ferroviaria non FS d'Italia con più di 400 km di ferrovie.
La rete fino a quest'anno aveva solo trazione diesel e quindi un soggetto interessante per la scala N ma anche Z, scale in cui la catenaria è difficile da realizzare in maniera convincente.
Ho cosí prima in N e poi in Z, ho cominciato a costruire un plastico modulare inspirato alle FSE.
Il plastico è fatto di moduli componibili che sono per la maggior parte del tempo usati come diorami, attaccati al muro come scaffali e occasionalmente si congiungono per formare il plastico.

The Ferrovie del Sud Est (South East Railways) have the largest railway network in Italy, excluding the national FS one.
Till this year all traction was exclusively diesel, so it is an interesting subject for those like me who do not like the way overhead lines are modelled in N and Z.
So I began, first in N and then in Z, my FSE layouts. Here I will talk only of the Z scale one.
The layout is made of modules that most of the time serve as shelves on a wall, but occasionally come together to form the layout.

Il plastico (1) consta di 4 stazioni che riproducono, abbastanza fedelmente , salvo piccoli compromessi modellistici, le stazioni di Nardó Centrale, di Otranto, di Gagliano-Leuca e di Gallipoli Porto.
Queste stazioni sono interconesse da spezzoni di plastico pieghevoli. Questi sono rappresentati in rosso in figura (1) e visibili in figura (2)
The layout (1) has four stations, two passing and 2 head ones. These reproduce with some little compromise the real stations of Nardó Centrale, Otranto, Gagliano-Leuca and Gallipoli Porto.
The stations are connected by foldable layout sections red in the drawing (1) and also shown in (2)
