Trion military ship fires on Striith Freighter

Two days ago a Striith Freighter was hauling cargo near the S2 system. The captain of this Freighter, who we’ll refer to as Danis, reports that upon passing the system, a Trion surveillance drone began to follow the Freighter. The surveillance drone dropped off, and then Danis claims a Corvette class Trion Military Ship began to follow them. The Trion ship then fired on the Freighter, without warning Danis claims. The Trion ship fired upon the Freighter two more times, before the Freighter went to quantum energy speeds to escape. The Trion ship did not follow suit. 7 people were killed in this incident, and a dozen more were injured.

It is unknown exactly why this unprovoked attack happened, but the leadership of the Strip will not allow it. Taar President Bakut plans to send a Battleship class ship to the S2 system. President Bakut says it is on a diplomatic mission, to figure out what exactly happened and why, but if the Trion fires upon it the Battleship will fire back.

Strip Battleship Commander fires on Trion Ambassador Drone, is Court Martialed

On the twelfth a Striith Freighter was shot three times by a Trion Corvette unprovoked in the S2 system. In response, a Strip Battleship was sent to S2 to investigate, with orders to attack if fired upon. Reports say that when the Battleship approached the system, a Trion Ambassador Drone came in sight of the Battleship. When the Drone got closer, the A Commander on the Battleship, Commander Delfa, ordered it be fired upon, despite the Captain of the ship not approving the order. The Drone was fired upon and destroyed. The Commander was quickly arrested by the Captain, and placed in the holding cell. Trion Military ships came into view of the Battleship, however the Captain promptly ordered the Battleship set course to Namai, and go to quantum energy speeds. The Commander who gave the order is set to stand trial under Court Martial 20 days from now.

Intel suggests the Trion have gathered a fleet of ships in the S2 system. It is unclear whether this is a defensive force, or if the Trion plan on making a strike against the Strip. It seems for now this conflict has escalated, and has the possibility of escalating even further.

Full scale Battle between Strip and Trion Fleet, conflict could escalate into war

Seven days ago a Trion Fleet was reported massing in the S2 system, following a series of incidents. Recon units reported that the Fleet was beginning to move towards the Alliance of the Strip, possibly as a first strike. President Bakut gave the order to mobilize the 5th fleet of Admiral Danlian, and sent it to the Trion Fleet.

Danlian reports the recon intel must’ve been false as the Trion Fleet was not at the coordinates when they arrived. Danlian ordered the Fleet to set course to the S2 system, thinking it may have moved there. Upon reaching the system the Trion Fleet came to meet the 5th fleet, and for 10 minutes they sat on either side tensely staring at the other fleet. This tense silence was broken when a ship fired on another. Reports are conflicting, some saying the Trion fired first while others said the 5th fleet fired first. However a battle had begun no matter who had begun it. The Battle raged for 3 hours, before Admiral Danlian ordered a retreat. The Admiral reports two ships of 5th fleet were destroyed and many others were damaged. The 5th fleet had numerous casualties.

This battle was a clear sign this conflict is escalating further, some fear if this is not diplomatically solved soon it could escalate into a full scale war between the Strip and the Trion. Many question how the Strip could hold up against the Trion, as the Trion are far more advanced and have numerous advantages.

Alliance of the Strip mobilizing, many say war inevitable

An incident involving a Striith Freighter being fired upon by the Trion 14 days ago has escalated wildy, many say it will turn into a war. Following a battle between 5th fleet of the Strip, and a Trion Fleet two days ago. Yesterday President Bakut gave the order to mobilize. This order can only mean one thing, war is right around the corner. Diplomatic talks have failed to come to fruition between the two nations, and since the Battle with 5th fleet three days ago, multiple other skirmishes have occurred. Many cite that Trion is more advanced, and has many advantages over the Strip, but those who support a declaration of war claim the Strip needs to put its foot down and defend itself. Already 3 fleets are prepared for war, with many more on the way. It isn’t possible to say whether or not a war will actually come to fruition, but it is seeming likely.

A second major battle occurs, many waiting on war declaration

Following the incidents of the past 18 days, multiple mobilized fleets have been sent out for recon. The 12th Fleet under Admiral Belkan fought a Trion Fleet near S6. Belkans reports say the 12th Fleet was traveling through the region, on a recon mission when a Trion Fleet appeared. The Trion Fleet began firing on 12th Fleet and Belkan gave the order to fire back. The battle went on for 5 hours before the Trion Fleet retreated. In the 3rd hour of the battle the bridge of the capital ship was struck, killing Admiral Belkan. His first officer, Lower Admiral Tanya, took over leadership, and won the fight. Tanya reports the 12th fleet lost three ships, and took thousands of casualties. Admiral Belkan will be having a funeral on his home planet of Ei.

After this second battle the pressure for a war declaration on President Bakut has become immense, however Bakut remains hesitant. It would seem Bakut is waiting for the results of Commander Delfa’s court martial tomorrow.

Truth revealed in Delfa’s trial, freighter captain lied

Today was the trial of Commander Delfa, who fired on a Trion ship in S2 against orders. One person called to the stand was Captain Danis, of the freighter who was at the start of this series of incidents. Under oath Danis revealed he had lied, the Trion Corvette did not fire on his freighter unprovoked. Danis’s freighter had an illegal weapon system, and he used it to destroy the Trion surveillance drone following him. The Trion Corvette was simply retaliating for this destruction.

Upon this revelation, President Bakut of the Strip gave the order for all fleets to stand down, and reversed the mobilization order. A diplomatic party has been sent to trion, to work this incident out. It would seem war was avoided today.
