| COMFORT
Really, he’d be a caring, insightful person to be with. He’d know her tells for feeling stressed or anxious and he always has a way to dissipate that. Even if it doesn’t quite work, he’ll still keep {Name} company until she felt better. Like Elizabeth, he also has a bit of a thing for knowing when people are feeling down, or when something isn’t quite right. It would be a bit difficult to lie or cover things up around him.| SAFETY
| MIDFORDS
He'll be so nervous about introducing Edith to his parents, perhaps even more than her. It isn't that he won’t believe that she's a good partner for him, but his family can be very strict and even the slightest faux pas will be noticed and remembered by them. This isn't encouraging at all. First of all, Edward will do his best to prepare her for the worst. He'll tell Edith about his relatives, who's who and why, how should they be addressed, what do they like and do not like, everything which could be useful to make a great first impression. He'll give her the list of subjects she should talk about and the ones she'd rather avoid. Edith may be surprised to find the list of her favorite meals and colors, also — something she can hold onto in the desperate moments of dying conversation. Edward will be sleep deprived for at least few nights before the meeting, constantly planning and thinking about every possible scenario to avoid failure. He'll want it to be perfect, not letting some stupid detail to ruin everything. “Pshh, hey, wake up. Listen, darling — I know it’s past 3AM — but I’ve just remembered that you shouldn’t mention Calcutta to the aunt Jane. Once she got lost in there and it stressed her out so much… Will you remember about it? Dar—Darling, are you sleeping again?” When The Day comes, he won’t feel prepared at all and, ironically, she'll probably have to calm him down. Poor boy will almost have a heart attack, as if it's him meeting her family, not the other way around. Eventually, he'll be very helpful, giving Edith hints and clues about what to do and who's who, just in case she couldn’t remember something. If she can, it can be quite annoying, but it will be better to allow him doing his job, it will make him feel better and safer. Whatever he'll say, she'll find out that his family will be rather welcoming to her, willing to listen what she has to tell, asking some questions but not being too pushy. His mother’s gaze will be deadly, though, but if she'll show enough respect and good manners, she won’t be against Edith, although she'll never be allowed to rest around her. She'll be watching her. Always. Edward’s father will be in love with her, not literally, but happy that his son has finally found the woman of his life. Isn’t it the best opportunity to drink some champagne, though? Should he start organizing the wedding? Elizabeth will share her father’s enthusiasm, wanting to know everything about Edith and listening with wide open eyes. She'll quickly decide whether she's a good person for her brother or not and will be very supportive, especially later. If Edith and Edward ever argue, she'll always help them make up, giving very useful advice. She knows his secrets, so staying on her good side will be a good choice. After introducing Edith to his family, Edward will probably need a whole day of sleep, too drained to even think. Still, he'll be happy about it and will be planning the next dinner together already.| PROTECTIVE
He loves situations in which he feels he's protecting his partner — as long as she isn’t in any real danger. He revels in those moments when she seeks him as comfort / protection, however he’s extremely protective by nature, so it would immediately turn into a very distasteful situation should his lover be threatened in any way. Edward will always be ready to protect {Name} from literally everything, showing her how safe she can be with him, no matter what. Being as chivalrous as he is, he'll take care of those who won’t be treating her with due respect, never letting an opportunity to tell them how improper was their behavior even if it may cause her some problems, especially if the people he'll say it to happen to be more numerous, better-built and probably drunk. Don't worry, he'll get them both out of the trouble as fast as he got them into it, either with his sword or last name. He'd do anything for {Name}. That being said, he'd also get jealous easily and always want her to be near him when they're out and about.| JEALOUS
Edward's extremely protective and prone to getting jealous whenever a person of the same gender comes along. Because who wouldn’t want her?| DATES
He'd really enjoy dates with her, viewing them as both a way to show his affection and a means to show off his partner — he's really proud to have her.| ACTIVITIES
If she can fence, prepare for a lot of training sessions. If she's at his level or better than him, the competition's going to be fierce — he won’t lose easily. I think he’d enjoy going horse riding / hunting with her if she knows how to, or for walks around the estate if she doesn’t. Edward would enjoy participating in simple things with her, such as going on walks or having a picnic — part of this being that he enjoys traditional / cliché acts of romanticism, even though they'll almost always make him blush.| HOBBIES
If {Name} has any interests / hobbies / sports that he doesn’t partake in, he’s more than happy to give them a try with if she wants him to. He also loves to hear her talk about them, or about her favorite book or anything really, it’s just how she warms to her subject. Even if she doesn’t necessarily convey her passion in words, the feeling's there in abundance behind what she's saying and he can see it clearly in her eyes.| WINTER
Ice-skating. He doesn’t necessarily enjoy playing in the snow, but he does enjoy taking walks in light snow / after it’s stopped snowing. Having talks and / or reading (separate books or one is reading to the other) by the fireplace. Baking gingerbread men (and probably burning them).| COMPLIMENT
Edward absolutely adores his partner and, whenever they're alone, would shower her in compliments. He'd probably also have a habit of staring lovingly at {Name}, and would blush and get a bit flustered when he notices himself doing so (or if someone mentions it).| SUPPORT
He'll be so emotional over everything she's doing. Whatever hobby or talent {Name} has, he'll constantly praise her for that, compliment her in front of his family and friends, admire her work to the point where it becomes comical and then get embarrassed because of this burst of feelings. However, it will be impossible for him to stop because he'll love every single detail about her so much that he'll want the world to know how lucky he is to have her.| MANNERS
He'd always be a perfect gentleman around {Name}, kissing her knuckles, holding the door for her, addressing her properly and speaking of her respectfully — even if she isn't around him at the moment. His attitude isn't a game, after all; he simply is that way. He'll place his coat on the puddle so {Name} can walk on it and not dirty her shoes.| TRADITIONAL
Being chivalrous has been ingrained in his head due to his upbringing in nobility. He makes sure to always open the door, pay for the meal, and give up his seat. Edward insists that {Name} dresses properly and behaves 'like a lady.’| ACADEMIA
He'd always offer his help in whatever thing she was currently doing, be it a laundry or some school / college / job project. Having a surprising amount of knowledge for many various subjects, he can actually be very helpful but if not, he'd simply prepare her favorite beverage and keep an eye on her so she wouldn’t ruin her sleeping schedule. If {Name} has any questions involving academia — studying and don’t understand something, want to know more about what he’s studying, want to find an interesting book to read, etc. — he’s more than happy to help. He has a way of explaining things that allows her to understand her content.| READING
He always knows the best books which she'll be most interested in. Edward takes into account her current mood when picking them, as well.| PUBLIC DISPLAYS OF AFFECTION
Edward wouldn’t be fond of PDA, as he's still obsessed with being 'proper' and feels affection is something to be shown in private — however, he wouldn’t hesitate to show it if he saw someone getting a bit too friendly with {Name}. He'd also like it if she dressed fairly conservatively, as he feels that her body's also something to be seen in private — plus, as previously mentioned, he's quite protective of her.| CUDDLING
Although it may take him a bit to enjoyably do so, he'd appreciate cuddling with {Name} or otherwise just relaxing alone with her. He'd be a blushing mess the first few times and may even seem uncomfortable, however he'd just need a bit to get used to it, as doing such things wasn’t something he was accustomed to.| xxx
...VIRGINITY
He's a virgin and believes that he should wait for the right partner, the one he'll want to spend the rest of the life with. Edward doesn’t mind about what the others do, but he, personally, want his first time to be special and experienced with a special person, dear to his heart. Being properly educated, he'll be generally aware of how the things should be going, however, when the real time comes and they both land in the bed, he'll become a stressed mess — internally, that is, keeping the I-know-what-I’m-doing façade all the time because he'll believe that if he appears as experienced, then Edith won’t be nervous as much as if it was somebody who has no idea what to do. He'll shower her with so many compliments that it may start being embarrassing but she should know that all of them will be spoken sincerely from his heart. Edward’s manners won’t be allowing him to take lady’s virginity without making her feel like the most important and the most beautiful person in the world. Edward will feel a lot more confident if there won’t be any lights in the bedroom in this time. The sudden thoughts about looking funny or making weird faces will haunt him in the middle of sex and this is the only safe way to completely prevent that. Plus, it will make their other senses work better.INTERCOURSE

...| FATHERHOOD
Edward would be a strict father. He wouldn’t go easy on his kids, especially if they were boys. He’d model a lot of his parenting skills after how his own parents raised him, as he thinks they’re the best examples. He’d also teach them the best morals, and they’d be raised right — they’d be the most honorable and respectful people you ever did meet, and if they weren’t, then Edward feels as though he’s failed. As expected, he’d be fiercely protective of them, and would give his life in a heartbeat if it was for his family. While he’d be stern, he’d be able to chill every once in awhile and do his best to spend every Sunday with his family. (He’d also be a total sucker for his little girl, if he had one.) He’d really crack down on them during the teenage years.
