Cook Crush
The first time Y/N cooked for him, he nearly died. “You made all this… for me? But you know we have a cook here, right?” She only nodded and told him to eat. He took a bite of her food and was sent to Flavortown. “Y/N!” he cried, grabbing her hands in his with teary eyes. “Marry me!” She laughed at him and flicked his forehead. “No way! Friends don’t marry each other over food, Grey,” she giggled as he devoured the rest of the course. He enjoys it when she makes him lunch. Simple sandwiches are a good option. If he has to go on long trips, he requests Y/N send him off with a small basket of sweets and maybe even some lunch. She always complies. He finds it amusing when she works with other people. They can’t match her high energy level, as well as her push for harder effort in the kitchen. “Come on, guys, the queen needs these in three minutes!” Y/N's quick with a knife and even threatened him once. “Step out of my kitchen or I’ll stab you, Charles Grey.” He loves her fiery attitude, just please don’t threaten him with a knife. ;-;*Job Loss
Charles, as with most things in life, take this seemingly nonchalant. It’s not that he doesn’t care, but he doesn’t see why he should be as sad as you for being depressed. He understands that these things happen, and although he may not fully understand the feelings involved, he finds that the best support he can give is his honest self. And his honest self is a nonchalant, energetic person. Yes, he’ll listen to your troubles. Then he’ll offer to take you out somewhere fun, it doesn’t have to be a crowded area, so long as you’re out and about. Staying locked up isn’t going to help. He’ll help you list all the ways you can obtain your career once more, or even a better one, and have a chat with said family member. Don’t let his outward appearance fool you, he is not taking this lightly. He hates seeing you having thinned so much and your hair, which you meticulously style everyday, so out of order. The reason he doesn’t fully express his concern is because he knows how you are, you worry for others, worry if you’re bothering them when you should be worrying about yourself. He doesn't want you throwing anymore negative emotions onto your chest. At some point he’ll suggest fencing. Let out your frustrations, anger and sadness through the sword’s grace.*Innocent Target
He’s shocked. His lips quiver as Charmaine's name is spit out of the queen’s mouth. Victoria's tongue was acidic as she spoke about her deeds. Grey was confident previously, absolutely willing to complete her quest. But when he hears who it is that should die by his sword… it breaks him. He almost sheds a tear as he listens. The queen wouldn’t even care if he told her about their relationship. He’s completely loyal to her yet he’s in love with Charmaine. Grey's in a complete state of shock and emotionally breaks down for a few days. He can’t even look Charmaine in the eyes. He’s heartbroken. If the queen wants her dead, she's done something unforgivable. Something that he can’t even forget. Otherwise he’d find ways to avoid it from happening. He’s clever, after all. But if she did something she shouldn’t, he can’t save her whatsoever. He does kill her. Tears well up in his eyes as he raises his sword. If she's understanding about it, he bites his tongue as he just starts crying. “I’m sorry, Charmaine.” His apology's genuine and it comes from the deepest crevices of his pained heart. He swears in his head that he’ll do nothing but love her in another life. “It’s not fair,” he constantly repeats to himself. He covers his eyes with his arm when she's dead. He can’t bare the sight. Grey hurriedly takes off his bloodstained cloak, not wanting to see it. His eyes are red and puffy. He washes his hands ten times, scrubbing to the point where they hurt because he keeps seeing the blood. He sobs and just drops to the floor. He’s a mess for ages. He loses his playful demeanor completely as it’s devoured by grief and guilt. Grey doesn’t eat for a while and Phipps is there to force him to take care of himself. Grey never smiles anymore. He’s so stoic, he loses his whole persona. He’s cold and closed-off. He despises the queen and loses respect for her. Honestly, he stops serving the queen and leaves. He’s a noble anyways so it doesn’t harm him much. The man will never get over it. He'll always see her blood on his hands. He visits Charmaine's grave very often and is a mess every time. He never truly moves on from the murder of his sweet s/o. He assumed she was actually guilty of committing something extraordinary since she accepted her fate. Years pass by and he learns to deal with it better and better. It seems he finds a speck of happiness again yet all hell breaks loose once more. It hits him harder than ever. Charmaine was, in fact, innocent. It was somebody else that should’ve been slaughtered by his sword. He would’ve even enjoyed it. Heat from pure anger circulates his whole being when he finds out who the real criminal was. Grey's confused; he’s pacing around the room, continuously asking if they’re sure it wasn’t her. Charles doesn’t understand. Why did she take the blame? Why didn’t she fight it? Why didn’t she tell him? He would’ve protected her with all it takes. He has so many questions. He’s disgusted with himself and his hatred for the queen intensifies. She made a serious mistake — or whoever sent the information. It’s better if he doesn’t get his hands on any of the culprits because he'd be sure to torture them. He lost his precious love. He felt he lost everything. At this point, he knows there’s nothing he can possibly do. He can’t bring her back to life and she died for nothing. No — he murdered her for nothing. He ruined her, he ruined her family and friends, he ruined himself. He’s in complete and utter shock and suffers quietly. If he didn’t have Phipps around, he would’ve done something bad to himself a long time ago. Grey feels like he’s nothing and nobody. He just feels so damn empty. Nothing matters anymore. He killed someone innocent, someone he'd die for, someone he loved.Title
...Demonic
“Y/N, my love, I must tell you something." Sebastian looked at her earnestly. “It's of crucial importance." “Is everything alright?" she asked. Grasping her hands, he said, “Everything is fine." “What is it, Sebastian?" “Promise you won't be scared?" “Tell me! Don't beat around the bush!" He inhaled deeply. “I am a demon." “Wow." Y/N sat back. “A real demon?" “Yes. A real demon." He looked at her nervously. “Okay. That's quite a surprise." “You're not worried or scared?" Sebastian asked, astonished. “Oh, Sebastian. You don't understand, do you?" She laughed quietly. “I love you, all of you. I know you won't hurt me." Sebastian stared at her in wonder. “How did I get so lucky?"Title
