Kruger has a large variety of animals, birds and reptiles along with a diverse flora habitat. I did not see a single snake.
The slower you travel the more you see.
There were many species that I did not see and I only mentioned animals below that I did see.
I can never remember the names of the birds, especially when it comes to sub-species when a single difference, like a different beak colour, classifies the bird differently. I did manage to identify the following birds (There were many more that I could not identify):
Bateleur
African Hawk Eagle
Fish Eagle
Secretary Bird
Owlet
Vultures
Wahlberg Eagle
Kestrel
Southern Ground Hornbill
African Grey Hornbill
Crows
Bee Eaters
Starlings
Cinnamon Breasted Bunting
Ostrich
Guineafowl
Francolin
Lilac-Breasted Roller
Yellow-Billed Stork
Saddle-Billed Stork
Guinea Fowl
Kori Bustard
Spurfowl
Sunbirds
Giant Kingfisher
Some days you see more of one species than the other. Some species are more difficult to find than others, such as Leopard, Lion, Rhino, Honey Badgers, Wild Dogs and Cheetah. I was disappointed that I did not see any Cheetah or Black Rhino, however I did see a number of White Rhino.
When chatting to people after a day's drive, some people will have travelled the same route but seen different species.
I was also fortunate to see other animals that are not frequently seen, namely, Hares, Jackal, Sable Antelope, Steenbok, Grysbok, Klipspringer and Duiker.
The following list are animals that I saw almost daily and refer to them as "common sightings":
Elephant
Buffalo
Giraffe
Impala
Kudu
Wildebeest
Zebra
Hyena
Baboon
Monkeys
Hippo
Crocodile
