Today was the longest single trip of this adventure at 178km. I was looking forward to this stay as I was going to see my sister and brother-in-law who was staying at Skukuza to attend the Golf Tournament.
I headed south along the S90. The veld on the eastern side had been burnt along most of this route.
The traffic became busier on the H4-1 and a lion sighting caused a serious traffic jam.
I saw the common sightings, however the highlight was the White Rhino, Wild Dog, Lion and another big tusker sightings.
I took a detour from the H1-3 to view the large Baobab tree and saw elephant digging holes in the dry Nwaswits riverbed for water.
When I arrived in Skukuza, I had to drive around to find a suitable camp site away from the swimming pool. The place was buzzing. I eventually found one and setup camp. It was close to the electrical power connection, a water tap and ablusions - A good formula for a "suitable site".
My sister arrived at about 16h30 and booked into their Chalet. I joined them along with other Golfers for a braai that evening.

On Saturday, I joined my sister and brother-in-law on a morning game drive along the H1-1 and S65 before heading to the Skukuza Golf Club for breakfast with other golfers.
We saw the common sightings, and were very fortunate to see a Honey Badger cross the S65 and a Impala drinking from a hole made by Elephant in the dry Mathekenyane riverbed.
The club was pumping as the first group was still in progress and Sean only started at 12h00.
I spent the day at the club enjoying the golf tournament and palying cards with my sister on the deck.
We stayed for the prize giving and dinner. Because it was 07h30 and already dark we had to wait for a Ranger to escort us through the park to the Rest Camp.

Skukuza is one of the main Rest Camps in the Kruger and was very busy. Over 60 golf players and their spouses were visting to attend a Golf Tournament. Accommodation and camping was fully booked.
The beautiful Skukuza Golf Course and Club are separate from the Rest Camp, near the town of Skukuza that is situated in the park borders. There are no fences in this area so any wild animal can enter the golf course. See examples "Hyena eating Giraffe" and "Lion eating Impala".
