Weather:
The weather was good when departing Letaba - Clear Skies and 12C. As I headed South, the clouds came in along with the wind which kept the maximum temperature at about 25C.

While driving along the S93, a large bull elephant walked along road preventing vehicles passing and every now and again he would look back to check the traffic as if to say, "I am watching you". I saw a few herds of elephants grazing along the road.
I stopped at Olifants Rest Camp to get a good view of the Olifants river. What a view!
Many of the roads in the Kruger Park run parallel along a river which means an increased chance of seeing game. Nyala and waterbuck are most likely found along rivers.
I arrived at Satara Rest Camp early and many of the camp sites had already been vacated. I setup camp along the fenceline.
I did an afternoon game drive to explore the park south of Satara along the H6, S37 and H1-3. Besides seeing some Elephant, Giraffe, Impala, I was fortunate to come accrosss a pride of lion lying in the tall grass along the S3 road. While they were only 10 to 15m from the road, you could barely make them out becase they blend in so well. There were at least 6 lion. I also saw a Leopard in a tree with the remains of his kill. I could not get a photo because many vehicles had stopped preventing me getting a good angle.
I spent an extra night at Satara to catchup on laundry and had the opportunity to do an extra day drive exploring the park north of Satara along the S40, S39 and H1-4. This section of the park appears to have more grassveld and less trees.

I spent two nights in Satara. On the second day, I left the camp at 06h00 to do a 97km game drive to cover sections of the park, north of Satara, that I had not yet done, namely along the S40 and S39 returning via the H1-4.

Satara is a large Rest Camp with a variety of accommodation. You can view the Satara waterhole from the restaurant deck. I checked on the waterhole numerous times and did not see any animals.
This is the first camp site that did not have electrical power points. My lithium battery coped very well with the refrigerator running off it for 36 hours by dropping to only 76%. I also used the battery to charge my electrical devices during this time.
