OpenRP

OpenRP is a plugin we use to allow players to roleplay in game. The many features are outlined below. If you plan to roleplay, please read this page carefully! It has everything you'll need to know. Go forth and have fun RP!

Features:

  • Custom character sheets.

  • Multiple custom IC (in character) and OOC (out of character) text channels. Different channels have different commands and block ranges that they work at. Also includes an action channel that will return messages like this: 'Mysteria sits down'.

  • Roll dice between 1 and 100.

  • A time plugin that keeps track of the time and date, which shows above a player's action bar.

《 How to Use 》

Channels:

In order to RP, you must use the designated RP channels. There are many channels - they'll be detailed below. All you need to do to use these channels is use the designated command and make sure you are within range of the person you'd like to roleplay with. All channels have a three second cooldown to avoid spam. Please use the correct channels - no IC roleplay in OOC channels and vice versa.

OpenRP Information

Character Sheet:

This is your in-game character sheet. It should be filled out in similarly to your Official Exilus Character Sheet except in a condensed form. The attributes in the character sheet are things that other characters would be able to see about your character just by looking at them, similar to the things you would know about a person walking down the street. When entering the appearance and equipment, only enter things that other characters would be able to see. For example: if your character has full armour covering their chest, another character would not be able to see their large chest scar.

Commands:

  • /character - Nearly everything is done from this one command. It'll open up a GUI with links you can click on to change the various fields and values of your character sheet - it's a one-stop shop.

  • Crouch + right click (while looking at another player) - This opens another character's character sheet. You must be right next to them to look at their character sheet.

Character Sheet Fields:

  • Name - The name that will display when you send any message in an IC channel. This should be the full name of your character as written in your Official Exilus Character Sheet.

  • Gender - You character's gender. If your character appears ambiguous, you would put their real gender first, then the gender they appear to be in brackets. Ex: Female (Male)

  • Age - The age of your character. If your character looks younger than their actual age, you would put their real age first, then the age they appear to be in brackets. Ex: 26 (17)

  • Race - The race of your character. If it's ambiguous or they are in disguise as another race, you would put their real race first, then the race they appear to be (or are trying to appear to be) in brackets. Ex: Hobbit (Elf)

  • Appearance - The basic appearance of your character, including their hair colour and style, eye colour and shape, skin colour, height, weight, build, and other visible features. You may put a very basic description of their clothing here. Maximum of three sentences.

  • Equipment - The basic equipment your character has. You don't have to include everything from the Official Exilus Character Sheet; just whatever is visible as their main equipment.

Rolls:

Not much to say here, just use /roll 100 and it'll generate a number between 1 and 100 and announce it in chat for you. You may also use any other number, it doesn't specifically have to be 100.

Time:

The current date and time in Exilus will be displayed over your action bar, the time will be displayed in the format Day/Month/Year as that is the most widely used format throughout the world.

Important!

The timescale in Exilus is NOT the standard Minecraft timescale, all days are 3x longer than normal Minecraft days. A vanilla Minecraft day is around 20 minutes long, on Exilus it is closer to 60 minutes long, 30 minutes for daytime and 30 minutes for nighttime. This was done to make Minecraft days more roleplay friendly and to make sure the in-game timescale was not ridiculous as previously each IRL year was equal to 71 years in the game due to the short length of the Minecraft day.
