We had a fun filled month this past October with lots of activities that kept us all busy.
We visited two pumpkin patches, got lost in a corn maze, went to the Arboretum and saw more pumpkins, went home and carved one, celebrated my birthday, did fun stuff at the Texas State Fair and planned and executed the boy's rockin' Halloween costumes. Whew, it was exhausting but lots of fun! - Except for the two weeks when the boys were out sick with strep throat and then I caught it. That wasn't so much fun!
For Halloween, the boys were super cool punk rockers. Ian really got into the whole punk 'attitude' and has learned to mimic the rebellious expression to a T. Of course, he's had some practice at that previously. Connor LOVED having his hair colored. When I shampooed it out that night, he raised his hands to ward me off and said, "No, mommy. Don't wash it. It pretty!" Ever since, he's been asking me to color his hair. And paint his nails. Yup, you can't see it in the pictures but even their nails were painted black and gray.
Here's to an awesome October ~
On an administrative note, there's been a number of changes made to the site. I've simplified it by removing many of the pages that were created when we first started the site such as his Hospitalization Calendar, his medical Brief History, Schedule and information that we shared at the start to provide all that nitty-gritty background information. At this point, we've decided to just focus on sharing general updates and pictures. I've never been terribly good at keeping stuff up to date on the site and this makes it a bit easier to tackle.
We hope everyone has a very Happy Thanksgiving!
