Home Again

Howdy, all.

Thanks for all the well wishes and prayers.

This is just a quick note to let you all know we are home again. Connor is getting two IV antibiotics through his central line and they let us go to complete his course of antibiotics at home, since they are comfortable with us administering it. He'll be on antibiotics through Oct 7th. He is doing well and is also on a probiotic due to the side effects (diarrhea and bad diaper rash) from the strong antibiotics.

The rest of us however are exhausted! :-) There is never any rest in the hospital because they're always coming in for something through the day and night - checking vitals, drawing lab samples, medicating, etc. And since Connor has multiple doctors, they all do their rounds at different times. We are all trying to recover from some major sleep deficit while trying to catch up on the things we've let slide in the past week. Even big brother is tired. He is home today from school because we just couldn't get him up and awake this morning and he actually wants to just stay in bed even now! I'm hoping he isn't coming down with something (and that we aren't either) and that this is just a matter of needing more rest.

The good news is that we are home and that is always wonderful. More to come later when I'm more awake! :-)
