If you want to try out a podcast to see what it is like, one of the simplest ways is to go directly to its website. Once there, you can almost always find information on the podcast, specific episodes, and an option to play them directly. Some also offer an option to download directly onto your PC or phone, so you can take them with you on the go.
If you have an Android or Apple device or smart phone, you can use a type of app called a Podcatcher. A good podcast app makes it easy to not only find new content but collect your favourite content and listen to it efficiently.
There are many podcast apps out there. Most Apple and Android devices come with a preinstalled app which can function as a podcatcher. They are more basic than those highlighted below, but will do the job. For Apple Devices, check for Apple’s Podcasts. If you have an Android Device, check for Google Play Music. To download any of the apps below, just type the name into the Google Play or the iTunes store.
If you need help downloading or using these apps, feel free to talk to our library staff.
