I really enjoyed this assignment. It was quite intimidating at first, but once I started I couldn't stop. I decided to do a module for Flocabulary training, my school has just purchased a subscription to use the program. In this module I will walk you through how to set up an account, classes, and assign work. I struggled with the video editing at first, there is still one spot where the audio is funky, but I could not figure out how to fix that. I initially used Adobe Premiere, but after editing it wouldn't let me export the video, even after troubleshooting. I then switched over to Windows Video Editor and was able to easily edit my video there. Overall, the story board helped with the video process immensely. I was able to create an instructional video quickly and efficiently after creating my story board.
For the second training module I used Powtoon. I really enjoyed this web app since it allowed me to add more animation to the presentation. I was also able to embed videos into the Powtoon presentation itself. However, there were a couple of drawbacks for me. The first was that in order to have a more professional looking presentation, you need a paid account. The second was that you could not edit the videos you incorporated into the presentations within the software. I also enjoyed the close captioning process, as it made me reflect on the dialogue I was providing learners.
