Young Writer's Program

During 2019, 2020 and 2022, I attended the Young Writer's Program at the Fremantle Literature Centre. Once every term, we had a different Australian author run a workshop with the creative writing students attending. They gave us insight into being an author, getting published, and editing. They also facilitated writing activities and demonstrated techniques, gave us feedback on our own pieces and provided an overall inclusive and safe place to practice our writing. It was always a day that felt super inspiring and I would always leave with so many ideas, a reminder why I love writing so much.
