Big Question: Who heals us?

Big Learning Idea: We are learning that our Friend Jesus is the Great Healer.

Students created a 'Care Bear' card for someone in their life or someone they knew who was sick or healing from an injury. This activity followed a lesson about Jesus healing people in the Bible and what He wants from us. Students were encouraged to decorate their card however they wanted.

This particular part of the Life Learning lesson involved making cards for those who are sick or need to be in our prayers. In TPE 7.8, we want to model what unselfish services look like to those in need, such as praying for them and showing them that we care. This activity provides an example for students to understand that even the smallest of deeds would go a long way. 

Some people believe that we can do nothing for those who are sick and need healing. This lesson sets an example for students to show them that they can make a change and do something for not just people they care about but for anyone in need. This lesson also provided a starting point for the discussion of other ways to help family, friends, the community, and the world.
