Nice to meet you, my name is Joli Weber. I am completing the teacher preparation program at Pacific Union College for a multiple subject and a single subject teaching credential.
I cannot image myself in another profession and with each experience in the classroom, I am more confident in my choice. Not only am I excited to share knowledge with students who pass through my door but I am also ready to learn from my students.
When I am not teaching, you can find me in the library, making new memories with friends and family, or traveling around the world!
Thank you for exploring my page and my experience of being a student teacher at Pacific Union College. It has been a wonderful experience.

Description: For my first elementary lab experience, I had the privilege to start at one of the feeder elementary schools for Pacific Union College. My mentor teacher, Mrs. Priest, provided me with great resources to teach Bible and graciously allowed me to teach her K-2 students. During this placement, I wanted to show my students the healing powers of God by providing hands-on experiences. Check out the activities we did on my multiple subject Bible page!
Description: For my elementary physical education lab experience, I was able to return to Mrs. Priest and her class to yet again provide a whole-student learning experience. During this placement, my students engaged both their gross and fine motor skills in engaging yet practical physical exercises. The sequence included a warm-up, a fitness development, a skill development, and a skill application game section. Check out the activities we did on my multiple subject Physical Education page!
Description: For my elementary math lab experience, I had the honor of experiencing student teaching in a public school classroom. Mrs. Schlieder–or Mrs. S–supplied ample resources and experiences to teach in the upper elementary classes. During this placement, I experienced math programs such as GoMath while learning from my students their own methods to solve a given problem. Check out the activities we did on my multiple subject Math page!
Description: For my elementary English Language Arts lab experience, I had the opportunity to work with an elementary school that worked in tiers. With Mrs. Ledesma and her class, I observed rotations and centers which utilized precious time to go through spelling, grammar, reading, and writing. During this placement, I engaged with students through book reports, spelling methods, and small games to encourage reading and writing. Check out the activities we did on my multiple subject English Language Arts page!

I also experienced co-teaching with another PUC teacher candidate, Lauren VandenHoven. During this placement, I incorporated a technology program into the students' assignment, focused on 21st Century Skills (finding credible sources online), and continued to work on mastering the skill of writing for different purposes. Check out the activities we did on my single subject English Language Arts page!
