THE TRADITION CONTINUES...

It's been a tradition for decades to see our neighborhood populated with high quality, handmade wood yard signs with the Big Red A painted on it. The girls swim team is again spearheading this project as a fundraiser and a way to spread the Eagle Spirit throughout the city (and country too depending on where you live). ALL PROCEEDS BENEFIT the John Adams Girls Swim Team. This is a once a year event so if you miss the order deadline you'll have to wait until next year.

HOW MUCH DOES A SIGN COST?

$30.00 per 'A' sign

$10.00 per specialty strip

$5.00 per blank strip

HOW DO I GET A CLUB-SPORT SPECIALTY STRIP?

If your student(s) participates in a club, group or sport such as swimming, mock trial, tennis, NHS, band, etc. then you can get a strip highlighting that activity. As you can see from the pictures, the stakes are tall enough to fit several below the 'A' sign. Please, no custom requests such as individual names or things that are not an Adams school group. However, you can order a blank strip for $5 and make your own!

If you also want a specialty strip for an existing sign you purchased in previous years that too can be made and is part of the order form below.

WHEN DO I PICK UP THE SIGN?

The completed orders will be ready for pick up October 18, 2021 at the pool door #14 (across from the track). Coach Josh Skube will contact you via email when your sign is done. However, all pick ups will be at door #14.

VALENTINES DAY FLOWER GRAMS by the JA Drama Club (Order Deadline FRIDAY, Feb 11, 2022):

The JAHS Drama Club is selling 'Flower-Grams' to be delivered on Valentines Day, February 14, 2022 to anyone on the school campus. Send them to any of your favorite Eagles whether its a student, faculty or staff member. Please keep our our security, building maintenance or our food service team members in mind too as they keep our kids safe, their classrooms clean and who feed them each day.

HOW TO ORDER:

Place your order ONLINE in the below form. There will be a link to the Square payment screens once you've entered your order information. We accept any credit or debit card but no checks or cash. They will be sold during lunches each day in the cafeteria too if you want to pay by cash.

MUMS for the MARCHING EAGLES:(sale ends on TUESDAY, Sept 7, 2021 at 6:00pm)

The annual Marching Eagles Mum Fundraiser helps raise funds for band props, travel and good during the busy competition season. Our goal this year is to sell 500 mums. Please share this with fellow parents, friends, neighbors, person-to-person or via neighborhood social media channels.

You may also just make a donation to the band if you don't want or need mums via the online form also.

We need to again raise $4,000.00. Please give what you can today. We need 135 donations of just $30.00 to reach this goal. The first 100 who donate at least $30.00 will receive a special edition 'SOARING EAGLE' car decal. (see image below). Of course if you can donate more please know not all families will be able to do this so we appreciate all donations above the suggested minimum so we can still reach our goal of providing a sign to every graduating Eagle regardless of their means.

The Parent Group along with the school leadership want to again provide each of our 410+ graduates a FREE personalized yard sign to display in their front yard to show their pride in their academic and extracurricular efforts and accomplishments in the Eagles Nest. Let's send off our Seniors with a special gift they can keep forever.

CREDIT/DEBIT: We accept and prefer credit or debit cards onlline via our Square online payment system. Apple Pay & Google Pay are accepted as well making it simple for those who use it.

CASH/CHECKS: We know some folks still like to use checks or cash so those can be dropped off to the Student Management office in an envelope with "JOHN ADAMS PARENT GROUP GRAD SIGN DONATION" written on it.



PAYMENT OPTIONS OFFERED BY THE JOHN ADAMS PARENT GROUP:

At times the Parent Group will facilitate a school group's fundraising events. The following are two option we may use for various fundraisers.

1) SQUARE ONLINE PAYMENT SYSTEM:

We have set up a payment system using the popular and pervasive Square payment platform. This will allow us to take your payments/donations using a CREDIT or DEBIT card along with the added ease of Apple Pay or Google Pay for those who have this set up.

2) SQUARE CASH (aka The Cash App):

We have moved away from this method but it is still active. If we use it the link will be provided in our email and social media posts for a fundraiser. If so this will be noted in our communications via email or social media. Below are some FAQ's (frequently asked questions) about this payment method.

HOW CAN I EASILY SEND MONEY FOR FUNDRAISERS ETC THAT THE PARENT GROUP FACILITATES ?

Square Cash is the preferred method of submitting payments at this time. Square Cash is one of the products offered by the ubiquitous Square mobile payment system company. They are very trusted and process millions of transactions for individuals and businesses alike every day. There are less payment failures if you download the Square Cash App and set up a Square Cash account. This requires you to connect it to your checking account via a debit card or your routing and account number info (found on the bottom of your checks) from your bank/credit union.

I ALREADY HAVE A SQUARE CASH ACCOUNT. WHAT IS THE PARENT GROUP's 'CASHTAG' ?

INACTIVE: African American History Challenge (posted 05-22-2019):

The inaugural African American History Challenge Competition was held on April 18, 2019. The competition featured teams from every one of the high schools in the South Bend School District. The AA History Challenge is a national event that has more than 100 schools from around the country competing. It was the district's first competition here in South Bend, IN. In the end, John Adams took the trophy home! The team was lead by Life Skills teacher and BROTHERS Group co-sponsor, Ken Thomas. John Adam's team moves on to participate at the national conference which will be hosted in Las Vegas, Nevada. Let's show our pride in the JA Eagles African American History Challenge team and help them get to Las Vegas for the National Competition. The district has begun multiple fundraising events to help offset the expense of sending the team.

Please consider donating $10, $15, $25, $50 or more to send our African American History Eagles off to the National competition.
