• June 6 - June 24, 2022 (IN-PERSON ONLY): 8:00am - 12:00pm Monday - Friday

• June 6 - June 24, 2022 (ONLINE ONLY): 12:30pm - 4:30pm Monday - Friday

Session II

• July 5 - July 22, 2022 from 8:00am - 12:00pm (IN PERSON ONLY)

• There is no online option for Session II

FREE TRANSPO REMINDER:

Just a reminder for our students that our public bus service, TRANSPO, continues to provide free TRANSPO passes for our students. Any South Bend School District Student just needs to show their current school ID to load the bus. This benefit may be used to travel anywhere their bus routes travel for summer jobs, entertainment etc. (www.sbtranspo.com).

MANDATORY: Summer reading is required for the following English students:

• English 11 Honors

• English 12 Honors

• IB English 11 and 12

• AP English

NOT-MANDATORY: Summer reading is optional for the following English students; however, general reading is highly encouraged.

• English 9 - 12 Regular

• English 9 - 10 Honors

• English 11 - 12 Regular

WRITTEN ASSIGNMENT FAQs

1) WHERE CAN MY STUDENT OBTAIN A COPY OF THE BOOK?

Students may check out the summer reading books from their English teacher at the end of the school year prior to summer vacation. They may also order their own copy of the book from Amazon, purchase it from Barnes & Noble, or check it out from the public library.

2) WHEN DOES MY STUDENT RECEIVE THEIR WRITTEN ASSIGNMENT?

Students will receive their assignments prior to summer break or immediately upon returning to school for the following school year. Some courses have Google classrooms where the assignments are posted. Students may obtain the code for the Google Classrooms before the end of the school year or they may email the teacher for the course code.

3) IF MY STUDENT ACCIDENTALLY MISPLACED THIS WRITTEN ASSIGNMENT SHEET, CAN THEY GET A REPLACEMENT?

Yes, they can obtain an additional copy by logging into the specific Google classroom for that course or by emailing the specific teacher who teaches the course. If the teacher does not respond within a week, email department chairs Megan Twietmeyer (mtwietmeyer@sb.school) or Amy Elliott (aelliott@sb.school).

TENNIS (Boys)-2022

Attention Incoming Freshmen and Upper Classmen

CONDITIONING:

Boys Tennis will begin conditioning on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:30-5:00pm starting Monday, July 18, 2022. Anyone interested in playing Tennis should join us at the Adams Tennis Courts.

Please register on Eventlink, upload your completed physical, and pay the Athletic Fee PRIOR to the first day of conditioning.

TRY OUTS:

The first day of tryouts will be Monday, August 1^st from 3:30-5:30pm.
