2022: JANUARY BACK TO SCHOOL COVID PROTOCOLS

(sent to students and parents January 4, 2022)

A MESSAGE FROM PRINCIPAL SEITZ:

Dear Parents and Students,

Thank you for a great first day back at school. Here are a few Covid Updates:

Cafeteria:

The auditorium will be open during all four lunches so students can distance while they eat.

Covid Symptoms:

Students should continue to self monitor each day. If a student exhibits Covid Symptoms they should not attend school. Students should email their teachers if they are absent because they have symptoms. Please see below for positive cases.

Positive Covid Cases:

If a student has a positive covid case please email Mr. Seitz, Ms. Boyd and Mrs. Hackett at jseitz@sb.school, dboyd@sb.school, jhackett@sb.school. We will help you navigate the number of days required to isolate. We are still using the same guidance that we have been using since the beginning of the year (10 days from the onset of symptoms for a positive case). Students who test positive will work from home using Google Classroom and by emailing teachers. We will notify teachers of positive cases, but we also encourage the student to email their teachers as well.

Contact Tracing:

We will contact trace if positive cases have been in the school building. Wearing masks is also an important aspect when contact tracing so all individuals are still required to wear masks. Individuals who are fully vaccinated will not need to quarantine if they are a close contact.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we once again navigate the pandemic. Please email or call with any questions.

Thank you,

Jim Seitz

Principal

2021: JANUARY BACK TO SCHOOL COVID PROTOCOLS

(sent to students and parents via email on 1-11-2021)

Dear Parents and Students,

As was announced last week at the SB School Board meeting, effective this coming Tuesday, January 19, 2021 we will return to a Hybrid Learning Model. We will still have the option for students to full time E-Learn as well. Please complete this survey to help us organize for next week: https://forms.gle/onomM8Ws2QuTk4mW9

We also have attached a copy of our updated return to E-Learning Plan to this email. This is very similar to the plan we used in October. Please remember that will move back to our normal 4 Lunch Period Bell Schedule and that teachers will choose between two different options of instruction. Here is the list of what option each teacher will implement. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1SqT9H4fZGxtA1iYFnm7B3xmCZjl8iLuac-imTgy4UOo/edit?usp=sharing. An explanation of the two options is included in the attached plan.

We will continue to provide updates throughout the week and the remainder of the school year. We greatly appreciate everyone's dedication, flexibility and hard work. Please let us know if you have any questions.

Go Eagles,

Jim Seitz

Principal
