Beginning in the 2019-20 academic year the South Bend School Board approved the use of e-learning days to make up for inclement weather or other such emergencies so that the school year won't have to be extended into the summer months past scheduled last day of school each year. Below is a graphic with the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) relating to the district's policy for eLearning Days.
HYBRID Re-OPENING PLAN FOR JANUARY 19, 2021
A MESSAGE FROM PRINCIPAL JIM SEITZ:
(emailed to students and parents on 1-11-2021)
Dear Parents and Students,
As was announced last week at the SB School Board meeting, effective this coming Tuesday, January 19, 2021 we will return to a Hybrid Learning Model. We will still have the option for students to full time E-Learn as well. Please complete this survey to help us organize for next week: https://forms.gle/onomM8Ws2QuTk4mW9
We also have attached a copy of our updated return to E-Learning Plan to this email. This is very similar to the plan we used in October. Please remember that will move back to our normal 4 Lunch Period Bell Schedule and that teachers will choose between two different options of instruction. Here is the list of what option each teacher will implement. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1SqT9H4fZGxtA1iYFnm7B3xmCZjl8iLuac-imTgy4UOo/edit?usp=sharing. An explanation of the two options is included in the attached plan.
We will continue to provide updates throughout the week and the remainder of the school year. We greatly appreciate everyone's dedication, flexibility and hard work. Please let us know if you have any questions.
Go Eagles,
Jim Seitz
Principal
