Ben and Lila held onto Milo the Magic Globe as a soft golden light surrounded them. In a blink, they found themselves standing near a shimmering lake, surrounded by rolling green hills and the crisp scent of pine trees in the air.
“Welcome to Wisconsin!” said a cheerful voice. The kids turned to see their guide, a friendly woman with a wide-brimmed hat and a camera slung around her neck. “I’m Emma, your tour guide! Wisconsin is known for its dairy farms, beautiful lakes, and rich history. Let’s explore!”
Their first stop was Milwaukee, the state’s largest city. They visited the Milwaukee Art Museum, where the building’s wings opened up like a giant bird. “This place is amazing!” Ben said, watching the spectacular sight. Next, they strolled along the Riverwalk, spotting sculptures and watching boats glide by.
Next, they traveled to Madison, Wisconsin’s capital. Emma took them to the grand Wisconsin State Capitol, where they marveled at the huge dome. “This looks just like the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C.,” Lila noted. They explored the bustling farmer’s market outside, sampling fresh cheese curds. “They squeak when you eat them!” Ben laughed.
Milo then whisked them away to Door County, a scenic peninsula filled with charming small towns and breathtaking views of Lake Michigan. They picked fresh cherries from an orchard and took a boat ride along the coastline, spotting lighthouses. “This is one of the prettiest places I’ve ever seen,” Lila said as the sun set over the water.
Their adventure continued at the Wisconsin Dells, where they explored towering sandstone formations and took an exciting boat tour through the rocky cliffs. “Did you know this is the Waterpark Capital of the World?” Emma asked. “That means we HAVE to go to a water park!” Ben cheered. They splashed down giant slides and rode the lazy river, having the time of their lives.
Before heading home, they stopped at Lambeau Field, home of the Green Bay Packers. They learned about the legendary football team and even did the “Lambeau Leap” into a padded wall like the players do after scoring a touchdown.
As the golden glow of Milo’s magic surrounded them once more, Ben and Lila smiled. “Wisconsin is incredible,” Lila said. “From lakes to football to cheese, there’s so much to see and do.”
“Thanks for the adventure, Emma!” Ben waved.
“Come back anytime!” Emma said with a smile.
In a flash, they were back home, but their memories of Wisconsin would last forever.
