After going through the assigned readings for the week, I really enjoyed how Ramsdell listed all the way to enjoy a story. For example, to a child a story can be apart of their nightly routine. However, a story can also be informative such as a news or history article. For me, my most fond memory when it comes to reading was when I would curl up in my dads arms and listen to his soothing voice read me a story until my eye lids got heavy.
When I reached elementary school I began learning how to "properly" write an essay. It was the standard 5 sentences in a paragraph, 5 paragraph essay. I really liked how Ramsdell mentioned that there is not right or wrong way to story. It is more important to share your story, in your own unique way than to follow the standard guide lines.
If some one were to ask me, " Who are you? " I would probably say that I am made of many different, and goofy characteristics. Now that I am an adult, in charge of my own life I can honestly say I like the person I am.
