In an effort to bring people together for table tennis I designed a new logo for our club and designed a mural. Upon approval from RIT I organized multiple sessions for us to get it painted.
We first projected my design onto the wall and traced it with pencil. We also masked the portions intended to be white using painters tape. Then we painted it in!
We painted this mural during the finals week of the spring semester. RIT also opted to make some rennovations in the tunnels over the following summer. Upon returning to our mural in the fall we had discovered our mural replaced by a door. :(
We took the destruction of our mural as an opportunity to recruit more new members by painting another one! We selected our new location strategically, placing it in a very high-trafic area.
We utilized the same process for the second attempt and achieved an even better result.
Tunnel vision is a website created by RIT students to document all the murals throught RIT's Tunnels
