One of the two tables contributed towards building over the summer of 2023 was the miter table! this table has its name because the miter saw sits on top of it, but it has other uses too. The table and the shelves above it also have storage for all of our shafts, axles, luber, and any other long materials. My contributions to the table include:
Designing the whole table in CAD, I went through 2 versions before I decided on one.
Working with one of my teammates to cut all the wood. We made more than 100 precision cuts, and I learned how to use a dado stack.
Assembling the table took about 60 hours of work over the course of one week. we used a combination of screws and glue to hold everything together and triple checked every dimension and angle.
sorting and organizing all the material we used the table to store.
Before we could actually build anything, I had to design the table! I utilized Onshape and went through four designs before arriving at the one we actually built.
