NEXT EVENT: iLEAD Feb 20-22nd
Central Nc Council serves as the Council for Itibapishe Iti Hollo Lodge 188, promoting service, leadership, and camping, helping strengthen the council’s impact on youth.
The Central NC Council Scouting continues to improve families and our community by serving thousands of youth across 7 Counties: Anson, Cabarrus, Montgomery, Rowan, Richmond, Union, and Stanly. The Central NC Council is divided into 3 geographical areas called Districts. Each district is made up of local Scouting units called Cub Scout Packs, Scouts BSA Troops, Venturing Crews, and Exploring Posts. These units are chartered to a local school, religious organization, or community center. Scouting activities happen all year long in your local neighborhood or at our beautiful Camp John J. Barnhardt on the 1,000-acre William C Cannon Scout Reservation in New London, North Carolina. If you want to get involved with Scouting or have a question about the exciting opportunities Scouting offers our Central NC Council families,

Camp John J. Barnhardt
With views of Badin Lake and the Uwharrie Mountains, Camp John J. Barnhardt is one of the most scenic Scout properties in the Southeast. The camp boasts a modern dining hall, a signature chapel, a swimming pool, and the highest climbing tower in the area. Campsites all have a large shelter, electricity, running water, and nearby access to private bathhouses. The property has numerous trails for mountain bikes and ATVs, as well as two lakes for boating and fishing. Camp Barnhardt's facilities were even ranked #1 in the five-state area. We hope that you'll join us at Camp Barnhardt for a weekend of camping or an entire week of summer camp!
