Feeding Therapy supports infants and children who experience difficulties with eating, feeding, and swallowing. These challenges may be related to picky or fussy eating, sensory sensitivities, restricted diets, medical conditions, or behavioral difficulties. Our goal is to help children develop a positive and safe relationship with food while supporting adequate nutrition and mealtime participation.
Our multidisciplinary team works collaboratively to assess each child’s feeding skills and underlying challenges. Therapy focuses on developing oral motor skills, improving self-feeding abilities, expanding food acceptance, and addressing sensory or behavioral factors that impact feeding.
Feeding Therapy is individualized based on the child’s needs and may involve collaboration with families and other professionals to ensure consistency and progress across environments. Parents and caregivers play an essential role in the therapy process and are guided throughout each stage of intervention.
