Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is an evidence-based therapy designed to support children with autism and other developmental disorders. ABA focuses on increasing positive behaviors, reducing challenging behaviors, and teaching new skills to improve independence and social interactions.
Therapy is individualized to each child’s needs and may include one-on-one sessions, small groups, or co-treatment with other specialists. Parents and caregivers are actively involved to help generalize skills to daily life at home, school, and in the community.
ABA Therapy can help children with:
Improving social interactions and communication skills
Developing daily living and self-help skills
Reducing challenging behaviors
Learning new functional skills
Increasing independence and confidence
ABA Therapy services may also include Group Therapy for children who benefit from practicing social, communication, and functional skills in a small group setting.
