Top panel shows the VTEC values obtained by the podTEC measurements from COSMIC-1. The VTEC values were computed from the COSMIC receiver altitude (~800 km) up to the GPS altitude (~20.200 km).
Bottom panel shows the corresponding VTEC values computed using NEDM model.
y-axis is related to the magnetic latitude of IGRF.
x-axis is related to the day of year.

Left panel shows the histogram of error between NEDM and the VTEC values measured by COSMIC.
y-axis is related to number of occurrences of a specific error value.
x-axis is the VTEC error.
The mean error (µ) and standard deviation of the error (σ) are shown in the top-right side of the plot.
Right panel shows the correlation (r) of the VTEC measurements and NEDM values.
