Altimeter evaluation - VTEC

Left panel shows the absolute mean of the difference between altimeter measurements and model values.

Middle panel shows the standard deviation of the difference between altimeter measurements and model values.

Right panel shows the 1 minus the correlation between altimeter measurements and model values.

Lower values indicates better performance for all three graphs.

TECU refers to TEC Units [1 TECU = 10^16 el/m^2].

C/NOFS evaluation - Ne

Same as before, but referred to electron density measurements of the C/NOFS instrument.

DMSP evaluation - Ne

Same as before, but referred to electron density measurements of the DMSP instrument.

GIM evaluation - VTEC

Same as before, but referred to VTEC values provided by IGS-GIM data.

Ionosonde evaluation - FoF2

Same as before, but referred to FoF2 measurements of ionosondes.

Ionosonde evaluation - hmF2

Same as before, but referred to hmF2 measurements of ionosondes.

ISR evaluation - Ne

Same as before, but referred to electron density measurements of the Incoherent Scatter Radar instrument at Millstone Hill.

podTEC evaluation - VTEC

Same as before, but referred to VTEC measurements obtained by COSMIC-1 podTEC files.

RO evaluation - ionPrf

Same as before, but referred to electron density measurements obtained by radio-occultation techniques of the COSMIC-1 satellites. The whole profile is considered.
