Top panel shows the critical frequency (FoF2) values obtained by the radio-occultation (RO) measurements of COSMIC-1.

Bottom panel shows the corresponding FoF2 values computed using DLR-TOMO model.

y-axis are related to the magnetic latitude of IGRF.

x-axis are related to the day of year.

Storm event main phase starts in the beginning of DOY 076.

Histogram of error and correlation

Left panel shows the histogram of error between DLR-TOMO and RO FoF2 measurements of COSMIC-1

y-axis is related to number of occurrences of a specific error value.

x-axis is the FoF2 error.

The mean error (µ) and standard deviation of the error (σ) are shown in the top-right side of the plot.

Right panel shows the correlation (r) of the FoF2 measurements and DLR-TOMO values.
