Top panel shows the FoF2 values obtained by the ionosonde measurements.
Bottom panel shows the corresponding FoF2 values computed using IRI-2016 model [default options].
y-axis is related to the geographical latitude.
x-axis is related to the day of year.
Storm event main phase starts in the beginning of DOY 076.
FoF2 histogram and correlation
Left panel shows the FoF2 values obtained by the ionosonde measurements.
y-axis is related to number of occurrences of a specific error value.
x-axis is the FoF2 error.
The mean error (µ) and standard deviation of the error (σ) are shown in the top-right side of the plot.
Right panel shows the correlation (r) of the FoF2 measurements and IRI-2016 values [default options].
hmF2 maps
Top panel shows the hmF2 values obtained by the ionosonde measurements.
