1.12 Summation of Error

When there are two or more quantity where each of them have limiting error combined through an equation and this combination involved:-

• Addition

• Subtraction

• Division

• Multiplication

◊ A and B = the value of instrument A and B

◊ ∆A and ∆B = the absolute error for A and B

◊ %A and %B = limiting error for A and B

◊ It can be written as:

A = A + ∆A = A + %A , B = B + ∆B = B + %B
