Play-test Goals
Observe how players are able to use the UI to build in creative mode
See how the players interact with the controls of the game

Introduction (5 min.)
Inform the user that they are testing a game that includes a castle creation editor and explorer mode. The creation editor allows them to build. The explorer mode allows them to move their character around in their building.

The player can do no wrong
We are not judging you
Player information:
The player gets no information on the controls beforehand and figures it out during the play-test
The player is told that he can visit other lobbies or can build his own castle
Player tasks:
Listen and carry out the tasks that the game designer gives them

Tree Testing (20 min.)
The game designer may asks players to do certain tasks if he/she doesn't find it themselfs.
Player finds his own castle
Player goes to the building mode
Player rotates an object
Player makes a wall and puts a hole in it
Player builds a roof on his castle
Player finds a specific castle
Player walks in exploring mode
Player plays adventure mode
Player while spend 15 min in building mode 3 min in lobby's and rooms and 2 min in adventure mode
The game designer is in the same room keeping watch over the test.
Evaluation (20 min.)

As a user, I would like an option to invert my camera control
As a user, I would like it if the objects spawn in the front instead of the back
As a user, I find it hard to remove 1 wall by clicking on it
As a user, i find it annoying that my selected object dissapears when I rotate the camera with the mouse
As a user, I had a hard time placing objects on the table
As a user. I would like some sort of ctr-z option

Building Mode
Were some buttons and mouse layouts unclear?
didnt notice the right click means cancel ttoril, or that right clicking while oving an object would delete it
it was at first unclear on how I could rotate the camera
People who had trouble with the camera said the following.
I thought rotating the camera with the mouse would be inverted
I often would cancel out of building when trying to rotate my camera
If you can change the controls/button layout what would you change?
zoom out more, also maybe be able to change the up and down angle, eyedropper and move tool, maybe make E/R rote 45 degrees per press instead of holding the R key and moving the mouse, but I mostly used holding the moude button anyway
Don't overlap building controls with camera controls or allow me to move the camera without it doing any building logic

It didnt have any
Soms lastig in te schatten waar het object word geplaats. Bijvoorbeeld een kaars op tafel plaatsen ging wat minder goed, omdat deze het vakje onder de tafel gebruikt en hierdoor de kaars op een andere plek word geplaatst dan verwacht. Daarnaast had ik ook wat moeite met de muur bouwen. Wanneer je een stukje had gebouwd en er dan nog een stukje aan wilde bouwen, dan was de preview onzichtbaar. Hierdoor leek het alsof je daar niet direct aan kon bouwen. Wanneer je dan iets ervan af staat met de preview, dan verschijnt deze wel dus dan lijkt het alsof je pas vanaf daar kunt bouwen.

De uitgebreide keuze aan materialen
mooie vormgeving, veel items en mooie rustgevende muziek.
What didn't you like about the game?
not enough zoom out, couldt change up and down angle of camera, click and dragging didnt move the camera I think? (not sure, maybe it did and i dont remember)
The depth was hard to gauge at times. I would think something would be placed on the table but it would be placed on the ground next to it.
kan soms dingen niet in het midden plaatsen.
additional comments about the building mode?
items mogen groter weergeven worden of vergroot worden wanneer je erop staat.
i liked the pathfinding, didnt get stuck behind objects (so far)
eieren zoeken lukte niet en kaars op de tafel plaatsen ging naar mijn idee vorige keer beter.
Adventure Mode

not really, but it might need a popup tutorial guiding you trough building your first thing (for free) to learn where all the buttons are (with an option to turn off)
Ik wist van de vorige keer nog dat je iets van een aanval met een letter kon doen, het was lastig vinden welke knop dit nou was.
What parts of the adventure mode where strong?
the bow
Enemies dropped the weapon they were carrying
verschillende soorten wapens en spells
doormiddel van klikken aanvallen, was leuk.
What didn't you like about the adventure mode?
couldnt exit after entering :P
my charater shoots before it has turned towards the enemy
Omdat ik meteen aangevallen werd had ik het idee dat ik niet even rustig kon kijken hoe de controls werkte

I didn't see my own plot of land immediatly

Difference between the circles
It was pretty clear to me

Er was nog niet veel te zien maar vond het wel tof dat je alle kastelen van andere spelers kan zien en bezoeken
Het zag er mooi uit, leuk bedacht. iets nieuws.

ik ben benieuwd hoe het zich verder vorm gaat geven.

yes, erg rustgevend en niet irritant ook als je er lang naar zou luisteren.

mooiere en meer items. leuke poppetjes, ook makkelijk te wijzigen welke je wilt zijn
