Synopsis:
It takes place in a mountain village with a long history, thriving since the Warring States period.
A festival would be held where dances were dedicated at the shrine, rice cakes were scattered, and people wore masks to speak their innermost thoughts. “This whole area used to be covered in golden rice ears in autumn.”
Now, in the Reiwa era, weeds are everywhere. Even the immortal former village chief fell and broke a bone, now in rehab. Akiya are everywhere, and it became a village on the brink of abandonment.
Amidst this, the villagers decide to revive the village festival of old... But waitthe legend of the golden mask? A filming location for a popular drama? A cash robbery? What's going on?

The Regional Revitalization Corps (Chiiki Okoshi Kyoryokutai) is a Japanese government initiative where urban residents relocate to depopulated rural areas for 1~3 years to support local revitalization. Members engage in activities like agriculture, marketing local products, and community support, and aim to settle in the area after their term ends.
In Iiyama City, there are 16 Regional Revitalization Corps members (as of February 1), and they are currently working toward permanent settlement. This year's activity report session will be held in a cross-talk format among the members.
