Shimenawa is a rope made of rice straw that is used for ritual purification in the Shinto religion. During Japan's New Year celebrations, local residents decorate their houses using various objects, and shimenawa is usually hung on doors or the mini shrine in the house to welcome deities. Let's welcome a bright New Year with handmade shimenawa!
