Large snow statues will be displayed all around downtown Iiyama!
Enjoy the many activities available during the festival, such as tobogganing, Narazawa Daitengu Dance performance (evening), stage shows, and markets.
Visit the statues to collect stamps for the stamp rally, or join the photo contest for a chance to win a deluxe prize!

“Kamakura” is a Japanese-style igloo. At this festival, there will be fun activities, games and shops selling delicious local food. There will also be fireworks on Feb 8 (Sat) at 7 pm.
Restaurant Kamakura Village is open to the public with a fee (200 yen for adults, 100 yen for elementary school students) outside of the festival from Jan 24 (Fri) to Feb 28 (Fri), and offers snow activities, food and beverages. Please refer to the official website for details and reservations for having meals inside the kamakura.

To celebrate the Girls’ Festival on March 3, a special exhibit on Hina Dolls will be held. The collection includes Hina Dolls from the Edo period to the modern era. There will also be a guided tour on the Hina Doll exhibit on March 2 (Sun) in Japanese and English.
Hina Dolls and related decorations will also be displayed at the Iiyama Station and shops along the main shopping street in downtown Iiyama. Please check them out!

During this exhibition, artworks from artists that have a connection to Iiyama, such as KOMAMURA Kyuya and SAITO Ichiro, will be displayed. Artworks that are newly added to our permanent collection will also be exhibited, including artwork made of bamboo by UENO Masao.
