IAAA's Draped in Heritage program brings together member artists to create original works of art draped over the elephants at key events during the exhibition. We draw on Indian artistic traditions — kalamkari, block print, batik, embroidery — and modern techniques and materials - upcycled fabrics, 3D printing etc., and weave in themes of conservation and coexistence. Our work will reach thousands of visitors in person in Livermore — and hundreds of thousands more across the globe through extensive media coverage of the exhibition.
The Elephants are being installed at two locations in downtown Livermore.
Location 1 - Bankhead Theater (2400 First St, Livermore, CA 94551)Â
There is a green patch in front of the theater - where 8-10 elephants will be installed
Location 2 - Stockmen's Park (29 S Livermore Ave, Livermore, CA 94550)
This is a green park, where 20-22 elephants will be installed
Both locations are within walking distance of each other
The best place to park is the L-Street Parking Garage (50 S L St, Livermore, CA 94550)
