Description of Artwork:
‘Unity of dharma’ 2026, explores Buddha’s dharmic chakra and connects it to the Hindu Trinity and Vishnu’s Avatar, Krishna. It plays the part of respect to Dharma in ways that are different. Chronologically Hindusim was adopted much before Buddha came into existence. Yet,6 Dharma being the universal principle that connects spiritual teaching, righteous action, creation, preservation, and transformation, is applicable with the endless chakra, of life and death. It is the center of this piece to which we lean to create our souls journey. It’s a piece that brings the thought of religions in the eastern hemispheres on one platform!
Nanda Patel who has painted with diverse mediums, works predominantly in mixed-media collage, whose work blends authentic cultural textiles with symbolic forms to explore spirituality, migration, and identity. Raised across four continents, her artistic language is shaped by the diverse political, social, and emotional landscapes she has experienced since childhood. Patel’s work investigates how culture, memory, and karmic patterns imprint themselves on the soul. Using circles, layered fabrics, and spiritual motifs, she creates visually textured narratives that bridge personal history with collective experience. Her practice highlights the power of textiles as cultural arc no hives and positions her work at the intersection of global identity, emotion, and spiritual inquiry.
