SPORTS DAY 1922
The Stockton and Teesside Herald dated 22 July 1922 gave the results of the Stockton Elementary Schools' Sports.
The running skip (girls over 11) was won by R Dale of Bowesfield- Lane School.
R Dale also won the Potato Race for Senior Girls, with F? Wright, also of Bowesfield, in 2nd place.
Bowesfield Girls relay team came 1st, beating Bailey Street and Richard Hind into 2nd and 3rd place.
Overall the aggregate of points was :-
Boys - 1st - Richard Hind 16 ½

3rd - Bailey-street and Holy Trinity 10
5th - Oxbridge 6 ½
6th - Norton 3
7th - Mill-lane 2
8th - Tilery-road 1

Swimming Gala at Stockton
The Mayor of Stockton (Ald. A Lewis) presented the prizes at a well attended swimming gala at the Corporation Baths, Stockton, in connection with the towns Holidays-at-Home.
