It is not known where the admission registers for the Infant Department are. They may be in the possession of individuals or may have been lost completely.
Below are listed children who are mentioned in the Infant Log Books, along with the comments.
AITKIN Alec - Admitted April 1886 - returned from Junior School because they were unable to get up the 1st Standard - June 1894. Reason - very little at school - so delicate.
ARCHER James - see Thomas Bradbury.
ASHTON Harold - Admitted September 1886 - returned from Junior School because they were unable to get up the 1st Standard - June 1894. Reason - private school - not letters (left).
BARKER George -Admitted August 1886 - returned from Junior School because they were unable to get up the 1st Standard - June 1894. Reason - very dull.
BARRETT Cyril - Scholar entitled to a prize 1903.
BARRON Jos. - 24th July 1891 - will be 7 years old at the close of the school year but retained in Infants - very small and very delicate.
BENSON Charles - Admitted June 1887 - returned from Junior School because they were unable to get up the 1st Standard - June 1894. Reason - no school - does not know letters (left).
BETTS Tom - Admitted January 1887 - returned from Junior School because they were unable to get up the 1st Standard - June 1894. Reason - no school - does not know letters.
BRADBURY Thomas - Mentioned in Log Book 24th March 1927 - 'Thomas Bradbury of 32 Moat Street, fell in the porch on coming in to school this afternoon. His right leg appeared to be slightly fractured, so after attention by the Head Teacher he was taken to the hospital where he was detained. John CARR and James ARCHER witnessed the accident.'
BRODDLE Fred - Scholar entitled to a prize 1902.
BULLOCK Clifford - mentioned in Log Book April 7th 1913 - ' had a very bad fit in school this afternoon. I sent for the mother who called Dr Collinson. As the child was still unconscious at 4p.m. the doctor drove him home in his car.'

CORDUKES Ar. - Admitted September 1886 - returned from Junior School because they were unable to get up the 1st Standard - June 1894. Reason - scarcely ever at school - very delicate - left.
CROSS Francis - will be 7 years before June 30th - admitted since last examination. Admitted 19.9.1887 Born 25th May 1881. No school.
CUTHBERT Raymond - Mentioned in Log Book 21st April 1931 - 'Before this afternoon's session Raymond Cuthbert (6) while playing 'coach- horses' with Stanley COATES (6) slipped in the playground and cut under his chin. He was brought to me at 1.25p.m, the cut was bathed and he was taken to the hospital where a stitch was put in.'

DAVISON William -Admitted September 1884 - returned from Junior School because they were unable to get up the 1st Standard - June 1894. Reason - absent long time in hospital - operation for eyesight.
DAWSON J/I? - 24th July 1891 - will be 7 years old at the close of the school year but retained in Infants - not long since admitted to school for the first time.
DIXON Alfred - Scholar entitled to a prize 1902.
DUNCAN L - 24th July 1891 - will be 7 years old at the close of the school year but retained in Infants - not long in school before exam.
EASBY Tom - Admitted August 1886 - returned from Junior School because they were unable to get up the 1st Standard - June 1894. Reason - very dull - cannot speak plainly.
FARNES Richard -Scholar entitled to a prize 1902.
GALLIPHANT Allan - will be 7 years before June 30th - admitted since last examination. Admitted 19.9.1887. Born 4th May 1881. From a private school - letters not.
GOSS Wiiliam -Admitted June 1886 - returned from Junior School because they were unable to get up the 1st Standard - June 1894. Reason - very delicate and nervous.
GREIG Dora - Scholar entitled to a prize 1902.
GRIFFITHS Amy - 24th July 1891 - will be 7 years old at the close of the school year but retained in Infants - very small. Not at school long.
GRIFFITHS William - Admitted September 1885 - returned from Junior School because they were unable to get up the 1st Standard - June 1894. Reason - irregular attender. Truanter.
GUNTER Jno. -Admitted June 1887 - returned from Junior School because they were unable to get up the 1st Standard - June 1894. Reason - no school - does not know letters (left).
HALE Agnes - 24th July 1891 - will be 7 years old at the close of the school year but retained in Infants - very little and very dull and rather deaf.
HALL James - Admitted May 1886 - returned from Junior School because they were unable to get up the 1st Standard - June 1894. Reason - no school - does not know his letters.
HARRIS Joyce - Mentioned in Log Books 7th September 1925 - ' Joyce Harris of 13 Castlegate died yesterday from rheumatic fever.'

HUDSON Edwin - Admitted August 1886 - returned from Junior School because they were unable to get up the 1st Standard - June 1894. Reason - very delicate.

HUGHFF Ernest - Scholar entitled to a prize 1902.
JARNELL H - 24th July 1891 - will be 7 years old at the close of the school year but retained in Infants - very little and very delicate.
KITCHING Thomas -Admitted May 1886 - returned from Junior School because they were unable to get up the 1st Standard - June 1894. Reason - very dull.

LILLIE Robert - 24th July 1891 - will be 7 years old at the close of the school year but retained in Infants - very dull boy - would be better with infants.
MARWOOD Ar. -Admitted March 1886 - returned from Junior School because they were unable to get up the 1st Standard - June 1894. Reason - almost an idiot.
MATSON John - Admitted September 1885 - returned from Junior School because they were unable to get up the 1st Standard - June 1894. Reason - absent from school long time through sickness.
MCCLEAN G - 24th July 1891 - will be 7 years old at the close of the school year but retained in Infants - just admitted before examination: no school.
MUIRHEAD Christopher - Mentioned in Log Book 1st March 1921 - 'fell down in schoolyard and bumped his head beside the cellar railings,sent to hospital, Miss Idle took him home.
NEYLAND Percy - Admitted July 1884. - returned from Junior School because they were unable to get up the 1st Standard - June 1894. Reason - defective intellect - could not speak for long time ( 2 years in school).

PORTER Jno. - Admitted May 1887 - returned from Junior School because they were unable to get up the 1st Standard - June 1894. Reason - no school - does not know letters.
POSTLEWAITE G - 24th July 1891 - will be 7 years old at the close of the school year but retained in Infants - very little, can not speak properly.
REYNOLDS J - returned from Junior School because they were unable to get up the 1st Standard - June 1894. Admitted just before end of school year. Had been at school before but can neither read or write.

THOMAS Arthur - Mentioned in Log Book 6th July 1888 - 'Arthur Thomas, from 1st class was obliged to go to Swansea with his mother who has been ill for some time.'
THOMSOn John -Admitted October 1885 - returned from Junior School because they were unable to get up the 1st Standard - June 1894. Reason - very delicate - often ill.
WALBURN John Percy - Mentioned in Log Book 13th February 1930 - ' I regret to record the death of a scholar, John Percy Walburn who was run over by a heavy lorry when going home for dinner.'
(Burial records show that 8 year old John Percy Walburn was buried at Oxbridge Lane Cemetery on the 17th February 1930.)
WALKER Ar. - Admitted February 1886 -returned from Junior School because they were unable to get up the 1st Standard - June 1894. Reason - very delicate.
WATSON Harry -Admitted May 1886- returned from Junior School because they were unable to get up the 1st Standard - June 1894. Reason - very dull indeed.
WILLIAMS Ernest - 24th July 1891 - will be 7 years old at the close of the school year but retained in Infants - only a few weeks in school before exam.
WOOD George - Admitted November 1886 - returned from Junior School because they were unable to get up the 1st Standard - June 1894. Reason - no school - very dull.
