Winners of a Road Safety Competition April 1988

The Evening Gazette dated Monday 16th April 1988 reported on the Competition.

Finely Tuned

" A Stockton school has swept the board in a road safety song contest. Bowesfield Primary School won the best Infants entry, best Junior and best overall of the Stockton and District road safety song contest in front of a packed audience at the town's Corporation Hall. The school's 25-strong junior choir sang words written by ten year old Margaret Jennison to retain the Alan Ellwood Trophy, while the infants choir adapted Humpty Dumpty to delight the judges, including Stockton's deputy Mayor, Councillor Mrs Win Hodgson, who presented the prizes."
