In this handbook, you find many content and activities to help health professionals add Health Literacy (HL) to their curriculum. The learning activities are generally developed for physiotherapy students in higher education, but can also serve as idea generators for other health professions.
In the menu, under Learning Activities, you will find different materials that can be used in a different ways:
1. Compile the topics individually and download the learning materials you want to use for your lessons. All chapters are clearly structured and refer to learning outcomes. This way you can use the materials according to your needs.
2. Use complete courses. For example, project-based Learning or community-based Learning course can be incorporated into your program of study as an entire module. These courses are appropriate for a later phase of the curriculum.
3. Syllabus of a three-ECTS course with an emphasis on communication.
The course builds from basic to more complex. Training range from a basic skills training with low fidelity to person-centered training in real interprofessional work contexts. Complexity is also increased by the degree of supervision and autonomy of the learning process.
