Every degree-seeking international student should have a D-2(Study) visa for their study. If students entered into Korea with a different visa (e.g., C-3, D-4, etc.), they should change their visa status to D-2 before the start of the semester.
All international students residing abroad and having been accepted to study at UOU will need to apply for a student visa(D-2) at the Korean embassy or consulate of the Republic of Korea to their countries.
A foreigner who desires to pursue a regular course of education (undergraduate, graduate, Ph.D.) at a two-year college, university, graduate school (including graduate school in evening time), which is established by the Higher Education Act, or at an academic research institute that is established and regulated by the Special Act and higher education than a two-year college.
Undergraduate Program: D-2-2
Master Program: D-2-3(Including combined program)
Doctoral Program: D-2-4
Exchange Student Program: D-2-6 (Including Double degree)
If anyone wishes to enroll for a regular Korean study program (only recognized regular daytime courses) at a language school at university level.
Korean Language Center: D-4-1
※ The maximum stay given to International Students: 1year(Students of Korean Language Center : 6 months)
※ Students living overseas are required to apply for D-2 visa at a Korean embassy or consulate in the their home country.
