D-2(Student) visa holders could have a part-time job for up to 20 hours per week. (20 hours per week during semesters, no limits during the summer and winter break) However, they need to acquire permission from Ulsan Immigration Office prior to their start of the work. Should the part-time job become the main purpose of stay, permission will not be granted, and the status of stay may be changed accordingly.
Foreign students (D-2) must receive permission for activities beyond their current visa status from a staff of OIAE and be equipped with a certain level of language proficiency
Students who hold D-2-1 ~ D-2-4, D-2-6, D-2-7 visa
※ Students holding D-4 visa can hold a part-time job 6 months after their entering Korea.
Average grade of C (2.0) or above, for the previous semester
Be equipped with a certain level of Korean Language Proficiency
1st – 2nd year : TOPIK Level 3 or above
3rd – 4th year & 석 · 박사 : TOPIK Level 4 or above
※ Students of English track need to submit the proof issued from the affiliated department office that all of his/her classes are held in English(In this case, TOPIK score report may not be needed.).
(Minimum Attendance) Attendance Rate 90% above for the semester
TOPIK Level 2 or above1st – 2nd year : TOPIK Level 3 or above
D-4 : Within 6 months during residence, maximum 1 work places at the same time.
D-2 : Within 1 year during residence, maximum 2 work places at the same time.
Korean Language Center: Within 10 hours per a week
Undergraduate Program: Within 20 hours per a week
Graduate Program: Within 30 hours per a week
※ A student holding TOPIK Level 2 above at Korean Language Center can work within 20 hours per a week.
※ Weekends, Holidays & Vacations: No limits
Companies or employers that are restricted of visa issuance from illegal employment in the past.
